Dashboard Restriction

How to restrict WordPress Dashboard access

On some websites, you may want that only users with specific roles can access the WordPress Admin Dashboard.

StranoWeb Ajax Login has a section dedicated to this, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to SW Ajax Login setting page and click on the tab Redirects & Permalink;

  2. Scroll down to WordPress admin dashboard access section and click on Restrict WordPress admin dashboard to users with certain roles checkbox to show the settings;

  3. Choose the roles that you allow to access to the WordPress backend;
  4. You can also hide the frontend admin bar to the users with roles not allowed to access WordPress backend;
